We spent Saturday morning at Pine Tree Apple Orchard in White Bear Lake. After confirming with my mom, I remembered that this is the very same place we used to go to as a family to pick out our Halloween pumpkins {it also has a pumpkin patch where you pick your own} after taking a hay ride up to the field. We opted out of the pumpkin picking since we'll most likely be going back here this year, but we did mosey around the orchard {what little we could} and pretended to pick apples {no picking allowed, boo!} and then stopped in the barn where we bought some cider chocolate chip cookies, Honeycrisp apples {my favorite!} and a gallon of cider for home. We also sampled hot cider and the three of us shared an apple donut while we were there {why not?}. It wasn't until we actually got home that I realized we didn't need a gallon of cider since Doug will be gone the next two weeks. *sigh* Luckily we had small group on Sunday so we were able to share our spoils with them.
